Bryan Santarossa is the Operations Consultant at The Sports Village. Bryan has been managing the Sports Village, and it’s team since its inception in 2000.  He brings over two decades of facility & financial management experience in both the private and public sectors, with a primary focus on developing & implementing financial policies and procedures, while managing every facet of recreational and entertainment arena facility operations.  Before joining The Sports Village, Bryan was the Director Finance for Lauridon Sports Management Inc., a sports facility management company managing over 10 recreational and entertainment arena facilities in North America.

Bryan has been instrumental in streamlining all financial and procedural operational policies at The Sports Village.  He is responsible for all aspects of The Sports Village operations, including managingoperating & capital budgets, financial cash management and reporting.

As the Operations Consultant for the Sports Village, Bryan provides strategic analyses for senior management to determine project and company profitability, and ensures compliance with business regulations, tax laws, insurance requirements, and industry standards.  In his spare time, Bryan enjoys exercising, playing hockey, golf, and spending time with his family and friends.

Bryan is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified General Accountant, he holds his Bachelor of Commerce in accounting and finance from the University of Toronto.

STEPHEN NORRIS

BUILDING & OPERATIONS MANAGER

Steve Norris is the Building and Operations Manager for The Sports Village.  Steve is equipped with three decades of experience building and managing entertainment and recreational centres across North America.

As Building and Operations Manager, Steve overseas every aspect of the facilities management. Including refrigeration, ice maintenance, building envelope, HVAC, all staffing, special events co-ordination, purchases, and all encompassing.

Steve overseas the maintenance of the facility and grounds in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety. He coordinates landscaping, grounds clean up, snow removal, parking lot care & maintenance, life safety & facility inspections, facility beautification plans, repairs & installations as needed, and manages relationships with all facility vendors. Steve is also responsible for The Sports Village’s in-house restaurant, Hot Shots Bar & Grill, looking after everything operational.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys cooking up a storm; spending time with his kids with their music & sports, and helping with homework. Steve holds a Business diploma, recreation diploma as well as a Arena Management diploma from Humber College

NADIA BIFOLCHI

CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER & PROGRAM Co-ORDINATOR

Nadia Bifolchi has been a member of The Sports Village team since June 2001.  As Customer Service Manager and Program Co-ordinator, she is the like a liaison between customers, patrons, The Sports Village Team and The Guest Services Department. Nadia is Duane Rivait’s Assistant in the programming department as a Program Co-ordinator. Nadia is responsible for booking 4 NHL sized ice rinks, preparing ice rental contracts, skating birthday party rentals, meeting room bookings and setups, hockey tournaments and planning and volleyball court rentals.

Nadia’s attention to detail, excellent rapport-building skills and the vitality and energy she brings to each customer engagement resulted in her being quickly promoted to a full-time position in September 2001.  

Customer Service is an integral part of The Sports Village customer value proposition, and Nadia’s main motivation comes from providing excellent customer service to every customer with whom she comes into contact.  Nadia actively looks for opportunities to improve her customer service skills so that each person she interacts with will have a positive experience at the facility.

Nadia was promoted to Customer Service Manager in October 2010 where she managed the Guest Services Department. Nadia oversees guest experience for walk-in customers, or by phone or e-mail, customer service employee training, staff scheduling, and all volunteer programs.  Nadia is committed to providing guests with an ‘unparalleled experience’ and is sure to monitor on-floor guest activity.

Nadia holds a College degree in Records and Information Management and also has her Book-keeping Certificate.  Nadia has built trust and strong long term relationships with The Sports Village customers and continues to do so as the Customer Service Manager and Program Co-ordinator. Nadia’s implemented feedback allows The Sports Village to continue providing quality and service to exceed customer expectations.

Nadia has participated in many sport activities including gymnastics, cheerleading, volleyball, floor hockey, long jump, short jump, soccer, baseball and track and field.  Nadia received an Athletic Award.

DUANE RIVAIT 

PROGRAM MANAGER

Duane Rivait is our Program Manager at The Sports Village. As The Program Manager, Duane oversees the creation, development and administration of all of the Adult and Children’s programs, Ice and Room rentals, our very popular Outdoor Beach Volleyball program and all Special Events. Duane has been working in the Arena/Adult Recreation industry since 1986 and brings a wealth of experience to the position.

Duane is also a Certified Level #3 Hockey Canada Referee. As a former professional musician, his outside interests are, of course, music; and include: golfing, hockey and spending time with family.

ARUL NAGULENDRAN

HOT SHOTS BAR & GRILL RESTAURANT MANAGER

Arul Naguendran is The Sports Village's in house restaurant "Hot Shots Bar & Grill's" Main chef and food and beverage manager .

Primary responsibilities are overseeing food preparation, overseeing all restaurant and snack bar operations , inventory control and purchasing. Arul is the main point of contact for vendors. Arul create all menus, manages events and parties, and manages all restaurant and snack bar concession staff.

In his spare time Arul enjoys spending time with his family.

NICK MANCINI

Nick Mancini comes to The Sports Village with 7+ years of experience in Sport & Recreation. Nick has a dynamic background with experience in Sport Retail, Digital Marketing, and Community Sport & Recreation. As the Advertising Coordinator, Nick handles all marketing matters such as business partnerships, sponsorships, facility tours, website appearance, graphic design & advertising communications. In his spare time, Nick enjoys spending time with family & friends, playing sports, and attending church.
